Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How secure is the site?

The system uses the very latest SSL technology – in other words the site is extremely secure

  2. How flexible is the system?

The system is ‘customised’ to meet individual client’s needs.

  3. Can I link this to my own website?

Yes indeed. A specially designed ‘web registration page’ to the clients precise requirements is part of the ‘package’ which can either be linked to an existing web site or developed as a stand alone site.

  4. What links can I create to other or associated websites?

Whatever the client requests can be addressed in terms of links. For example you may require hotel and airline links, tourist information, indeed whatever is required to provide a friendly ‘shopping’ environment for would be delegates.

  5. Will it save me money?

The very essence for the development and introduction of the ‘onlineregistrations Pty Ltd. system and service was based on ‘time is money’.

Research, and industry knowledge, shows that many meeting planners and offices dealing with the registration of delegates or attendees, have to reprocess the incoming registration information by fax or regular mail or indeed submitted over the Internet. Obviously this action by staff is at a cost in terms of labour. The OLR system reduces this cost considerably.

By using this system at a low cost per delegate registration or cancellation, it will eliminate any reprocessing of registration information received from delegates.

  6. Can the downloaded registrations be in the format we use or require?

Yes, OLR will customise your web site registration page so it is compatible with whatever database programme you currently use.

  7. Can I access the information at any time?

    Yes! 24 hours a day – 7 days a week

  8. How many can register at the same time?

    Unlimited

  9. Can I design my own registration form?

Yes and if required OLR will be pleased to have input to the design. Consultation will be necessary to ensure the registration form meets the technical requirements of the system.

  10. Who has else has access to the information on the registration.

No one – except for the registration secretariat/office.

  11. Who is responsible for billing the registrant?

    The meeting/event planner’s office/secretariat

  12. How does the system count the number of registrants?

The OLR software automatically registers on an in-built counter system the number of correctly submitted registrations or cancellations. This information is then cross-tabulated with the clients record for monthly billing purposes

  13. What are the costs?

Costs are based on the total number of registrations via the OLR system for any one event or can be negotiated on the aggregate total for a number of events over a given period of time
