A thirty plus years veteran in the Meetings and Convention industry with over 30 years as CEO and advisor of various Convention & Visitor Bureaus in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey and South Africa. A consultant to numerous governments on the formation and operation of Convention & Visitor Bureau’s and has served on numerous international meeting industry boards in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.
As the I.T. director of Online Registrations and Managing Director of his own IT specialist company, OPD Management, James has over 12 years of specific experience in the meetings and convention industry serving in three Australian State Convention & Visitor Bureaus.
George, who has over 37 years in the international hotel industry as General Manager of Hilton International Hotels across the world, returned to Australia in 1980 to manage Hilton International hotels in Sydney, Perth and finally Adelaide.
Whilst in Adelaide he served for nearly a decade on the board of the Adelaide Convention & Tourism Authority (ACTA) as well as a period on the Board of the South Australian Tourism Commission. He is currently Councillor on the Council of the International College of Hotel Management.
Lisa brings 15 years of sales and marketing management experience in Australian Hotel, Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management and is currently GM – Business Development of an outdoor advertising company based in Melbourne. Lisa has contributed to various boards and industry project teams in South Australia including the Restaurant Association, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, and nine State Regional Tourism Boards.
